چکیده
Starting a firm with expansive potential is an option for educated and high-skilled workers. This option serves as an insurance against unemployment caused by labor market frictions and hence increases the incentives for education. We show within a matching model that reducing the start-up costs for new firms results in higher take-up rates of education. It also leads, through a thick-market externality, to higher rates of job creation for high-skilled labor as well as average match productivity. We provide empirical evidence to support our argument.

This paper, we analyze the double-dividend issues by the design of overlapping generations approach. We characterize the necessary conditions for the obtaining a double dividend, i.e. an improvement of environmental and non-environmental welfare when the revenue of the pollution taxis recycled into a change of the labor tax rate. We show that first advantage of the double dividend theory depend...
متن کاملThe Double Dividend Hypothesis for Iran Economy: Modeling Carbon Taxes with a CGE Model
The Double dividend hypothesis briefly demonstrates that by replacing different kinds of distortionary taxes with environmental ones, not only the lesser pollutants would be emitted (the first merit), but the more productivity and public welfare would be gained (the second one). Given the urgent need of reducing emissions in Iran, levying taxes on carbon, aimed at reducing carbon dioxide by 12 ...

In this paper, the Cox proportional hazard model is used to answer several questions. In general, fourteen variables are applied in four groups: firm, industry, expenditure human resources specific characteristics as well. According to the previous literature in this field, the findings of this paper also show that the factors which affect life duration of firms are different between industries...
